What Does the "Rapture" Mean?

There are and have been many people who simply believe that the Rapture will take place and then the events of Revelation will unfold and the Great Tribulation Period will begin.  Then after that seven-year period of chaos, God will send Jesus into the world to set up His one thousand year reign of Peace.  Now, it’s not my intention to burst anyone’s bubble about what I claim the Angels told me, because there will be many who will say that anything I have to say isn’t correct anyway since there really aren’t Angels.
I don’t care whether anyone reads what I write; believes what I write; believes me about the anything I claim Angels told me; or believes me about my Angels.  But anyone can read the Bible and pretty much believe anything he or she wants to believe.  The Bible has been used to argue either for or against most any issue that anyone wants to debate.  The problem is that people will believe what they have been taught and people will believe anything that belief will do to give them comfort.
I won’t set any dates for the coming of the Messiah, because I don’t know any more than what the Angels have told me.  I believe that the Period of the Great Tribulation began in 1993.  I won’t say that that there have been exactly periods of peace and total periods of war, but these things have been going on since John wrote Revelations from the island of Patmos.  The fact is if you read the book of Revelations and compare it to history, these things have been happening long before John wrote Revelations, and that in fact, there have always been people who could be the Anti-Christ.  So, I could say that the Tribulation Period began when Jesus was resurrected and there have always been people who have refuted the fact that Jesus rose from the dead.  Any of these people could be the Anti-Christ.  But really, it’s the sin of murder that makes anyone an Anti-Christ.  But then there are those who will say that Jesus died for EVERY sin and that it’s about belief.
It is about belief depending on what one does with what one believes.  It’s not enough to believe in Jesus as Savior, but that belief then means that you recognize God as the Creator and that everything He has created is sacred, especially human life.  If God is the Creator, then human life belongs to no one except Him.  And to believe in God as Creator is to believe in the sanctity of every human life.  And I believe that human life begins at the very instant of creation and from that moment forward EVERY human life belongs to no one except God and that only God can take a human life.  Anyone who has purposely taken a human life has not served God, but has served Satan in doing so.  But this isn’t how people tend to think about human life, or think in regard to God.  The sin of the Pharisees wasn’t that they didn’t believe, but that if they had believed, they would have stopped murdering and persecuting anyone who didn’t live up the standards of the Old Testament Law.
It amazes me that when people are against homosexuality, they quote the Apostle Paul, and will say that God loves the sinner, but hates the sin.  The Apostle Paul knew which sins that people could commit to cause the Pharisees to persecute them or even put them to death.  The Pharisees were the enforcers of the Law of Moses and anything the Old Testament would mention as a reason to put one to death, the Pharisees were the ones who carried out these commands to the letter of the law.  Jesus didn’t die for their sin of murder.  And if they had believed in Him, they would have had to turn on themselves and each other.
There are many Christians who won’t accept what I have just written here, but the Anti-Christ is really anyone who takes a human life FOR ANY REASON.  Anyone who has taken a human life serves Satan and not God.  But this isn’t how people tend to think.  Many people believe that obedience to laws is what saves us, so we elect godly men and women to make godly laws.  Jesus preached the Grace of God in that we are saved by Grace and not by Law.  Jesus died for every single sin EXCEPT for the sin of taking human life and that would be defined as murder and suicide.  Otherwise, there is no sin that anyone can commit that would keep him or her from the Kingdom of Heaven.
There is no Rapture.  Jesus is coming to set up His one thousand year reign of Peace.  All these things have already taken place almost from the beginning of the history of the world.  All we have to do is wait for the Messiah to come.  The problem that I have is that these things I have written here in this essay and others aren’t what people generally would accept as sound teaching or belief.  But I would say that isn’t MY problem.  I just have to tell the world what I claim Angels told me and let God do the rest.  Peace,
Brother Ralphie
