Is There a Universal Path to Peace?

In short, the answer to the title question is, “Yes.”  The number of Americans who want America out of Afghanistan has increased quite dramatically since the killing of Bin Laden.  My fear was that the killing of Bin Laden would have made him a martyr in the eyes of those who followed him.  But now, I am not so sure about this.  It is often believed by many that a man who follows the path of Peace is somehow not very masculine.  I would say to anyone who would believe this that there was nothing feminine about Jesus.  In fact, I would say that it takes a greater will to follow the path of Peace than it takes to follow a path of destruction and killing.  It takes a greater will for restraint than there is for the will to destroy.
This is why I often don’t like the masculine ideals either of this culture or of most any culture simply because killing and murder just seems to be too easy.  And it’s especially easy if one believes that God forgives the taking of human life.  There is a universal path to Peace, but it’s not a path that many easily follow.  I believe that it is Satan’s task to destroy everything God has created including human life leaving all of God’s creation to himself.  But God isn’t going to allow Satan to destroy the world, nor will God allow human beings to annihilate each other.  Our path to Peace is a path taken apart from Satan himself.  And this is why it is so difficult to follow a path of Peace as opposed to a path of death and destruction, because Satan makes it so easy to follow him.
A universal path to Peace is a path not to be taken lightly, but that as Jesus says, his yoke is easy and his burden is light.  There is nothing difficult about following Jesus except restraint.  And that is something that is very hard for many people to do. There is nothing gay about restraining oneself when one wishes to do harm.  It’s easy to do harm if one feels justified for doing harm to others.  But if we believe that God doesn’t forgive us for even doing harm, then in fact, we live a life of Peace knowing that restraint is the better part of valor.  But this isn’t what the world believes, however, I think that collectively the human race is on a path to Peace.  Anyone who doesn’t believe in a path of Peace does not believe that God is a God of Peace.  Satan is the god of war and destruction while God is the God of Creation and harmony with the universe.  I believe there is a universal path of Peace, but it is a path not to be taken lightly nor is it a path to be taken with the intent that one will not follow it.  I believe that the path of Peace is as easy as the path to destruction, but once one is on that path, one really can’t deter from it regardless of how easy it is to get off that path.  I believe the human race at least knows the path is there.  Whether or not we take it is our decision to make, but the choice is whether we follow the path of God’s choosing or follow the path of Satan’s choosing.
There is no good to come from hatred, fear, and anger.  But there is much good that comes from Love, Peace, and the Joy that is ours from being followers of Jesus who created the path for us.  Peace,
