In short the answer to the question is that it’s because of people, but perhaps not in how we might think or believe. I read an opinion by Evan Mantyk of the Epoch Times in which he suggests that it’s politics and not global warming that is driving the bizarre weather and disasters all over the globe. It’s because of people having a lack of compassion for each other and it’s because of the hatred and fear that groups of people have about other groups of people. It doesn’t matter which side of the debate you fall on, whether it’s climate change or global warming, but that in effect it’s all because of anger, fear, and in many cases, hatred that is driving the weird weather and disasters all over the globe. People are the cause of it and not God Himself and the reason why is that people just can’t get along.
Now, I find Mr. Mantyk’s reasoning interesting to say the least, but as I have said before that I believe Satan is responsible and not God, and it’s really because people are responsible, but not in ways that we might think. Is God judging the world for how people feel about each other? I think so. I still believe that God allows Satan to do what he wants to do, but that He hasn’t given Satan permission to destroy the world. Satan is the god of death and it’s Satan who takes human life because EVERYONE must die. It’s just a matter of how every person dies. And God’s purpose is served in anything that Satan would do against us.
So, we can argue all we want about God and Satan and who is responsible for the weather and for natural disasters, but that the fact is, in the end the answer is that WE are responsible. We are responsible because we can’t seem to get along with each other with our hatred, our anger, and our fears of each other. It is as I have said before, there is just too much anger, hatred, and fear in the world and because of these negative emotions, the earth is responding to us in ways it has not done before. We are the cause of natural disasters, but perhaps not in ways that we might think. It’s because we lack compassion for each other and it’s because of our feelings about other groups of people who don’t believe and think as we do. The earth and the ecosphere are responding to our negative emotions. Mr. Mantyk is saying that we are responsible, but not in ways that many people would believe. At least it’s something to think about. Peace,
