What IS Peace?

I can’t tell people how to live so that God will send them Angels.  But if anyone were to ask me how I would define the word “Peace,” I would describe “Peace” in the following manner:  Peace is the absence of fear; it’s the absence of hatred; it’s the absence of anger; and probably most of all, it’s the absence of sadness.  And many people believe that if something makes them sad, they need to pile on more hatred, more fear, more anger, only to find out that their sadness has NOT been reduced but indeed has been increased.  And so if something makes people sad, they feel they have the God-given right to do whatever it is they can do that would make them happy.  And that is to remove the source of that sadness.  The removal of the source of sadness could be something as simple as moving to another city or town, or removing the people that make them sad, or in extreme cases, remove themselves from this life that is the ultimate source of sadness.  None of these things that people would do will do anything for the increase of happiness.  But it’s the lie of Satan that people can do whatever they wish if doing it will make them happy.
I would then say that Peace is NOT a form of happiness, but that Peace is the ultimate “feel good” emotion.  Why?  It’s the feeling that God would have us possess.  If God is the Source of Peace, then I would say that it is God-like to be less angry; less fearful; and less hateful, and I would then say that though God can be angry, His anger is ALWAYS justified, BECAUSE He is God.  We are NOT God.  God NEVER justifies our anger, yet He does allow it from us so long as we do no harm to ourselves or to others.  The goal of Peace is a feeling.  I think the Apostle Paul says it best when he writes in Galatians 5:22, “But the fruit of the spirit is love, JOY, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control.  Against such there IS NO law.”
All these good things come from one source:  Belief.  So, I would ask anyone what it means to be Christ-like.  I would expect anyone who is a believer to tell me that being like Jesus is not to hate; not to be angry; and not to fear.  If there is a Kingdom is not of this world why would we have any of these emotions?  I could say that it’s the lie of Satan to believe we are human and thus be self-destructive or we CAN do harm to others.  I would then say that God doesn’t want us to do anything to do harm to others nor are we allowed to do harm to ourselves.  But there is one reason for death to occur in this world and it’s because there IS no Peace.  We believe that God allows for war.  We believe that God allows for the destruction of human life.  We believe it is our God-given right to feel any way we very well WANT to feel.  The fact is, Peace can only come from believing that it is NOT our God-given right for ANY of these emotions.  It is a right given to us by no one except Satan himself.  And the end ultimate result is the destruction of the lives of others, or the destruction of one’s own life.
I can’t tell anyone how it is that God gave me Angels.  But I will say that there is a key word to understanding God’s Peace and that one word is “MATURITY.”  We either grow with God or grow with Satan.  The choice is ours to make.
Peace,
