From a Different Perspective

I have been raised in an Evangelical Christian home.  However, the fact is that I simply don’t accept many of the teachings of Christianity as a whole.  In fact, I begin by saying that EVERYONE is born saved.  This is just the opposite of the teachings that everyone inherits the seed of Adam and therefore, there isn’t salvation unless in some divine manner one gains salvation through a number of formulas.
I am saying that I claim my Angels were telling me that EVERYONE is born saved and the ONLY way to lose one’s salvation is to purposely take a human life, whether that is another or one’s own life.  This begs the question as to the meaning of obedience to laws.  Well, I would say that laws simply prevent chaos and where any law demands the taking of human life, I would say that human life then takes precedence over law.  But again, this isn’t how many people think in regard to laws.
I am simply making a claim that my experience with the conversation that I had with Angels simply changed my thinking about many things.  For example, most Christians reject the notion that we are in some way reincarnated from a past life, saying that believing in reincarnation isn’t biblical.  I am not sure it is, but there is nothing wrong with understanding our own lives in light of history.  It’s how we understand life.  History gives meaning to life and living today.  I am fascinated by the idea that I COULD have in some way known Jesus personally 2,000 years ago as He walked and talked on this earth.  I often wonder what it would have been like to be in the crowd of people who heard the Sermon on the Mount for the very first time.
Or I wonder what it would have been like to have stood on the banks of the Jordan River and watch John the Baptist baptize Jesus and see the Spirit of God descending on Jesus like a dove.  The fact is that I think many people who call themselves believers wonder what it would have been like to have lived at the same place and time as Jesus lived.  I think the idea is fascinating and to think that maybe at one time I was among those people might be out of the realm of possibility, the fact is that I think everyone wonders what it would have been like to live in the same time and place as Jesus.
My wife has often said that perhaps in a former life I was a sea captain.  I wonder about that possibility.  And it’s a fantasy to believe that I was once a sea captain.  But again, I don’t think it’s something I would talk about with many, but the prospect fascinates me.  And it might explain why I enjoy smoking pipes or why I enjoy having nautical items in my home.  I think that sometimes we can learn a lot about ourselves by understanding the significance of some historical events and/or places.  It doesn’t mean that it’s what we believe, but why not fantasize that we could have been another person in another place and time.  I think it’s just a way of daydreaming about why we are the way we are today.
There is much in the thinking of Christianity that isn’t a part of how I think and believe today.  But I would say the major break I make from Christianity is to say that EVERYONE is born saved.  And most any believer will say that he or she really believes that Jesus died for those who have taken a human life if there is and has been good reason to do so.  This is where I differ from Christianity.  I believe EVERYONE is born saved and that one loses his or her salvation when one purposely takes a human life.  Otherwise, God doesn’t care what we believe as long as belief doesn’t interfere with life and living.  We simply can’t have a belief that allows for murder and suicide.  Many people don’t understand why believing in God is so important.  They simply believe in God.  Well, I say that believing in God is to believe in the sanctity of human life and if your belief in God doesn’t include this, then you don’t understand why you believe in God.  It’s because God is the CREATOR of ALL things especially human life.  All human life then is sacred to God, from the moment of creation until God takes that life.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie for The Angels of Life Institute
