Whether I Live Or Die

Just about this time as I am writing this a week ago today, I was on my way to the hospital in an ambulance having suffered a severe heart attack that almost cost me my life.  The pain was so unbearable that I thought that dying would be the best thing to happen to me.  As my wife later said, I may have won by dying, but the world would lose by not having me.  That was sweet of her to say this, but the fact is that one who belongs to Jesus has no fear of death or dying.  And in fact, I wasn’t afraid to die.  But there is something that I knew if I had died and that would be that a lot of work I have done for the Angels up to this point would be unfinished.  So, I told God that if I am going to live, I am going to live to do the work of the Angels.
Now, it might be easy for most anyone to say that I bargained with God for my life, but the fact is that I made no such bargain.  What it means to me now as I write this is that I don’t know from one day to the next as to how much longer my heart will hold out.  So, I have decided to make the most of each and every day to do the work of the Angels in most everything that I do.  It’s not just enough for me to say along with so many Christian believers that the Messiah is coming, but that I take this one step further and say that I know how He will judge the world when He comes.  Anyone who has purposely taken a human life will NOT enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  This is important for many teach that the Messiah will come and many teach there isn’t a sin God won’t forgive as long as one repents of his or her sins regardless of what those sins might be, but the man or woman who tries to repent of the sin of taking a human life will find their pleas to God falling on His deaf ears.
My feeling about living and dying is such that if I die, I lived for the work of the Angels and because much of what I have done for the Angels is written, then the fact is that what I have written will remain behind for all those to read who want to read it.  On the other hand, if I live, then I just continue doing what I have been doing for the Angels and that is to not stop writing for the Angels even if what I write I have written before.  My task in life as I see it is not simply to say that the Messiah is near, but to say to those who have not taken a human life to refrain from ever doing so.  We at the Institute believe life begins at the very instant of conception and from that moment forward EVERY life belongs to God and no one has a right to ever take a human life for ANY REASON.
There will be those who won’t believe what I am saying and really, I don’t care about belief at all.  It’s simply something to think about in regard to the sanctity of ALL human life.  Most believe we are born depraved and in sin and are all in need of salvation, but the fact is that we are all born saved and only lose our salvation by taking a human life.  This isn’t what the Church teaches, but it is what the Institute believes to be true.  Jesus said that His yoke was easy and His burden is light.  There isn’t anything we have to do to become saved, but taking a human life is what removes God’s salvation from us.  I don’t care how anyone worships God for when we do what we do that gives us inner peace, we are less likely to do harm to others if we have peace within ourselves.  I am simply saying that Peace really does begin with each and every one of us and that when we have inner peace with God we are less likely to even WANT to do harm to others.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie for The Angels of Life Institute
