Laws and the ONE Law of God

I just finished reading an editorial asking the question as to where the White church is in regard to the discussion about the killing of Trayvon Martin and the man who shot him, George Zimmerman in the Florida community of Stanford on February 26 of this year.  I too am somewhat puzzled that the outrage is mostly coming from the Black community seeking justice for the life of Trayvon and that the White community has been mostly silent about it.  In fact, I could go so far to say that the killing of anyone just about sickens me and it would if I didn’t have some way to deal with the murdering that goes on in this world.  I too want justice for Trayvon, but the White community is saying that we just don’t know all the facts.  Well, the fact is that the facts need to be investigated by the Sanford police department, but now that Bill Lee, the police chief has stepped down, a grand jury has been convened to investigate.  This is almost a month after the fact and where the killer has been able to keep his weapon.  The fact is that this case proves that laws are inadequate to prevent chaos.  And that is my point in this essay.  Laws are inadequate to prevent chaos.
I would go so far to say that the purpose of the Old Testament laws was to prevent chaos.  And really, that is about ALL we can expect laws to do.  And further the thinking is that if punishment fits the crime, there wouldn’t be criminals, but at the same time, Jesus knew what most of us know and that is that laws often create the very criminals we don’t want.  Marijuana laws create criminals whose only crime is to enjoy a recreational drug; yet how many of our prisons are filled with those who committed a felony by possessing an illegal amount of marijuana?  My point is that God Himself doesn’t care about what laws we pass or even which laws we choose to obey.  NO one is saved by obedience to any law of ANY kind.  Jesus died for EVERY sin EXCEPT for the sins of murder and suicide.  This is why Jesus says, “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”  Jesus WAS an idealist.  No one can live like that because we ARE basically selfish people.  We care about our own safety and our own survival even at the expense of the lives of others.  Jesus knew that this isn’t the way the world thinks.  Even I KNOW this.
George Zimmerman will NOT escape from God’s judgment.  In fact, ANYONE who has taken a human life for ANY reason will NOT escape from God’s judgment.  And this is what I want to say in this essay.  George Zimmerman so far has managed to escape the judgment that would be imposed on him by people, but he will constantly live his life knowing that God is going to judge him for what he’s done.  In fact, I would go so far to say that NO ONE would escape from God’s judgment that has purposely taken a human life.  In fact, it might be possible that George Zimmerman will escape from the justice of men, but he will NOT escape from God’s eternal justice.  And once God judges a person for purposely taking a human life, that justice that God implements is for eternity and there is no escaping for ALL eternity from God’s judgment.  I could say to George Zimmerman to just give up the fight, but the fact is, right now, his fight is only with people.  Once he realizes he is fighting God for the taking of human life, he will realize it’s a fight he will NEVER win.
And what about Trayvor Martin?  If I have words to say to his mother, Sybrina Fulton and to his father, Tracy Martin, I would say to them not to worry about where their son is spending eternity.  And I would say to them to pity George Zimmerman.  I might go so far to say to forgive the governor and the Justice Department and even the police chief, Bill Lee.  They are ALL human acting according to laws enacted by human beings.  The parents need to rejoice that they will be with their son Trayvon in heaven, because that is the reward God gives to those whose lives are snuffed out by others.  George Zimmerman WILL face God for what he’s done; and for this reason, it’s why I have pity for George Zimmerman.  I wouldn’t want to be him for anything.  Period.  I would say to George, “Your judgment doesn’t wait you from men, but from God Himself, and for this reason, I have pity on your soul for ALL eternity.”  I would offer words of Peace to the family and words of condemnation to the one man responsible for taking Trayvon’s life.  I pity his soul.  I won’t pray for him, because he won’t be forgiven for what he’s done.  He might be able to escape from the laws of men, but he will NEVER escape from the ONE divine LAW of God.  That LAW IS Human Life and he violated it.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie for The Angels of Life Institute
