Often You ARE Better Off NOT Saying What People Already are Thinking

I just finished having a discussion with someone today about the differences between the Christian concept of Grace and laws.  I am not just talking about the Jewish laws from the Old Testament, but laws in general.  Now, there are two things on my mind this afternoon that really have me thinking today.  Of course, the whole world knows that George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin.  Okay, even George Zimmerman says he shot Trayvon Martin.  There is no doubt that Trayvon Martin is dead and that the person who either murdered him or killed him, depending on your point of view in regard to laws, was George Zimmerman.  The fact that George Zimmerman killed or murdered Trayvon Martin is NOT in dispute.  What this trial will be about is whether George Zimmerman either killed or murdered Trayvon Martin in the context of law or outside the context of law.  Now, many would suggest that if he killed Trayvon in the context of law, then Zimmerman should be a free man and live his life as he chooses to live it.  Others are saying, not so fast.  If he murdered Trayvon outside the context of the law, then really, he should get life in prison with no parole.  The fact that Trayvon is dead and George Zimmerman shot him to death is NOT in dispute.  Only whether he killed or murdered either in the context of law or outside the context of the law is what is being disputed.
Now, the second subject on my mind this afternoon is what Hillary Rosen said about Mrs. Romney.  She said that because of her husband’s wealth, Mrs. Romney could choose to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her children as a stay-at-home mom.  Now, what Ms. Rosen said is understood by the 99 percent of this society.  There is NO question that Mrs. Romney has a VERY wealthy husband.  What got Ms. Rosen in such deep difficulty was the fact that she said what probably the rest of the world was already thinking.  Yes, we ALL know that Mitt Romney is wealthy.  That fact is NOT in dispute.  And what we DO know too is that Ms. Romney did NOT work outside the home.  What Ms. Rosen said is really nothing more than what 99% of us already know.  Women who have wealthy husbands do NOT have to make the same choices as a single mom who has to juggle two jobs and try to pay for daycare for her children.  I am NOT going to take sides on this issue except to say that Ms. Rosen was attacked by both sides for actually saying something that the rest of us already know.  Women who have wealthy husbands have the luxury to choose what they will or will not do outside the home.  The average working class mother is NOT able to make that choice.  Maybe it was the way Ms. Rosen said it or chose her words.  Maybe she could have said it differently without making it political.  I don’t know, but facts ARE facts.  The fact is that Mrs. Romney is the wife of a VERY wealthy husband.  Period.  And we ALL know that wealth has its privileges.
So, the point I want to make from these two issues is that really, I could say that George Zimmerman either murdered or killed Trayvon Martin depending on how I feel about the case.  I can say that Ms. Rosen said something very obvious we all already knew and she shouldn’t have said it, or I can say that both sides of the isle are unjustly punishing her.  Now, these are MY thoughts on these two subjects.  And what I learned from my conversation with my friend today is that Grace is from God and NOT people.  In the case of George Zimmerman, I could say that the matter of law doesn’t matter.  In God’s eyes he is guilty of purposely taking a human life and WILL NEVER be forgiven.  In Ms. Rosen’s case, I can say that maybe she shouldn’t have said what is obvious.  We already know that women of wealth have privileges.  There is NO question about it.  So, maybe it would have been wise for her not to point out the obvious but to simply say that wealth has privilege.  And it does.  I won’t dispute the fact that wealth has privileges that those who don’t have the opportunity to be wealthy do NOT have.  All she was doing was pointing out the obvious.  But in doing so, she offended women on both sides and accomplished nothing.  But in the eyes of God Ms. Rosen did nothing He can’t or won’t forgive; and that my dear friends, is my point.  If I represent God in ALL that I write, I have to say that God won’t forgive George Zimmerman even if people do, but Ms. Rosen is forgiven already, even if people don’t forgive her for saying what we already know.  Some won’t like this, but all I am doing is pointing out what I know is truth.  God does NOT forgive those who take human life, but He will forgive ALL other sins, including anything that Ms. Rosen says and anything I write or say myself.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie for The Angels of Life Institute
