I have been asked that if I believe that Jesus died for
EVERY sin EXCEPT for the sins of murder and suicide, then will there be the
worse scumbags in heaven? I think
it’s an interesting question depending on your definition of a “scumbag.” I think the lowest on the food chain
are child molesters and rapists.
And among them are robbers and thieves. Then there are the politicians of the world. Some
businesspeople aren’t too far behind.
I COULD say that EVERYONE in some form or another is a scumbag since we
ARE ALL worthy of death. But then
everyone can name his or her own scumbags of the world.
If
I confine my comments to just rapists and child molesters, then I leave out
people like Bernie Madoff and perhaps a number of corrupt politicians and even
businesspeople. But depending on
whom one is calling a “scumbag” I would say this about God’s judgment of ALL
scumbags: It’s just going to be
that much harder for them to get into heaven. Anyone capable of being a scumbag in just about any form is
either capable of murder or perhaps has even murdered without anyone knowing
about it, or they are suicidal and can’t live with their sins. We simply don’t know whether ANY given
scumbag we can think of can live with his or her sins or is capable of murder.
Prisons
can be incredibly violent places.
We don’t know whether in prison one would kill others to defend himself
or whether one would be placed on a suicide watch at any given time. We simply don’t know the future of
ourselves let alone a scumbag of the world. I would simply say that the more of a scumbag a person is,
the harder it will be for him or her to get into heaven. I won’t judge for God. Some people who have taken human life
have turned out to be good citizens of the world. But the fact is that NOTHING anyone can do to bring
salvation back once one has taken a human life. Anyone who has committed suicide will NOT be in heaven. But it isn’t for ANYONE to judge except
God Himself. My response about ANY
scumbag is that it’s just going to be that much more difficult for them to get
into heaven. The less one is a
scumbag, the less one has to worry about his or her salvation.
I believe the parable of the cloth
and the wineskin illustrate this perfectly. It’s found in Matthew 9:16-17. There ARE sins God will NOT forgive. One can’t put a piece of new cloth on
an old cloak and make it new. One
can’t put new wine into an old wineskin and make it new. Once one has taken a human life, there
is NOTHING one can do to regain his or her salvation. Now, there will be those who will say to me that this is MY
interpretation of this parable. I
will remind the gentle reader that I interpret the parables with the understanding
from Mark 4:13 that ALL the parables say the same thing. My Angels told me that Jesus died for
EVERY sin EXCEPT for the sins of murder and suicide. Once one has taken a human life, one has lost his or her
salvation for ALL eternity and there is NOTHING one can do to get it back. Yes, there will be scumbags in heaven,
but then that would include the rest of us in some form or another. Some people are just worse scumbags
than the rest of us. Peace. Brother Ralphie for The Angels of Life
Institute.
