The Big Difference

I read an article this morning that simply said that those who call themselves spiritual people are cop-outs.  They cop out of organized religion and create their own standards on how to live.  I Am one of those spiritual people the author of this article wrote about and I am convinced that a truly spiritual person lives life on a higher plane for one simple reason:  He or she is responsible to God and to God only and not to the whims and wishes of those in institutions or organized religions.  I say as a spiritual person that there is nothing more important to God than Human Life.  In a way, this puts my life in danger because I will do nothing to cause harm to others, while at the same time living my life so that I do NOT give others reason to do harm to me.  It’s the fact that God abhors violence of any kind that  IS the reason why I have lived my life the way I have, not ONLY for the past 19 years, but even how I have lived prior to that.  This author says that spiritual people don’t adhere to certain laws and regulations and even rules established by governing bodies, especially that in established churches and religions.  The reason why we don’t is that a truly spiritual person will NOT be angry enough to do harm to others, or fear enough that he or she would others to do harm to protect him or her.  This means we don’t hate enough to want to do harm to those who don’t believe as we do.  A truly spiritual person will value human life above all else including that of one’s own.  A religious person wouldn’t understand this, because his or her rules come from established beliefs and historical reasoning.  A spiritual person would hold that nothing is more valuable to God than human life and that includes the life of one’s own.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie for The Angels Of Life Institute
