The True Definition of a Pharisee

Dennis and I were talking about the Pharisees the other day.  I told him what I had said in that EVERY religion and faith has Pharisees.  These are the people who follow the Law or a set of laws or principles to the letter and will take Human Life or allow for the taking of Human Life for certain sins.  EVERYONE is guilty of sins worthy of death.  But a follower of Jesus chooses to allow God to be the Judge for ALL sins and therefore, will allow EVERYONE who sin sins worthy of death to live.  A follower of Jesus will let God be the Judge over ALL, but many will prefer to judge for Him believing that in doing so, they do the will of God.  Doing the will of God, in my opinion, is to simply follow the example set by Jesus and at least believe that God does NOT allow for the taking of Human Life for ANY sin or for ANY reason.  But this is NOT the thinking of many people of many faiths and beliefs.  The world simply does not think this way.  Therefore, many are like Pharisees at least in thought if not in deed.  It is one thing to judge for sins and quite another thing to judge sins deserving of death and carrying out the death sentence for those sins.  EVERY Human Life is sacred to God whether WE or ANYONE else thinks so or NOT.  A Pharisee simply carries out the death sentence for those whose sins are worthy of death and they are found in EVERY religion and belief.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie
